Competition entry for the theme “Structuring a workers’ housing area” in Rijeka, Croatia

Project with arch. Federico Gori, Petra Karuza and Hani Kadvanj.

The site lies in a district going under major renovations, in the outskirts of Rijeka. The aim was to provide well needed public spaces amidst high density dwellings. The housing scheme is organized in order to maximize the open views down the valley and minimize noise and pollution from the adjacent highway and main street. Providing a wide range of apartment’s solutions is part of the strategy to raise the area’s quality and include different population strata.
